Responsible leadership important, Bob Delaney says

Mirza can work across government levels

Ward Ten residents, of which I am one, have an important choice to make on October 25th. What we need in Lisgar and Churchill Meadows demands that our next City Councillor have the ability to work with other levels of government. Only one candidate in this election has demonstrated the responsible, mature approach needed to address our city’s needs, and that is Mirza Baig.

As your provincial representative at Queen’s Park, I work with four different Mississauga City Councillors. Working together with Ward Nine Councillor Pat Saito, for example, we managed to have the Lisgar GO Train Station not only built, but completed ahead of schedule and under budget. We need that type of cooperative spirit in Ward Ten, where our needs for recreational facilities will require the Province to work with Mississauga in the best interests of our residents.

Mirza Baig has been a friend and colleague of mine for more than ten years. He has the experience to know what to expect of other levels of government, the credibility to know what he and the City can deliver, and the maturity to be effective in the ultimate “people business” of politics. That’s why his sign will be on our fence at home. That’s why Andrea and I will vote for Mirza Baig on October 25th. Mirza Baig and I can work together to deliver results for Ward Ten.

Mississauga Ward Ten needs strong, responsible and mature leadership in the coming years at City Hall. Our families, our children, our seniors, and our businesses need someone with the experience of working within the team that governs Mississauga at the federal, provincial and local levels. I hope you and your neighbours join me and vote for Mirza Baig as our Ward Ten Mississauga City Councillor on October 25th.

Bob Delaney is the Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Mississauga-Streetsville.
